Follow Jesus. Build Community. Share Hope.
Our Vision:
We will have a Great Commitment
to the Great Commandment
and the Great Commission
and will grow a Great Church.
Our Core Values
Rochester Community Church serves one another and our community through these values:
People
All People, especially people far from God matter to Him, and therefore ought to matter to us.
Biblical Teaching
Biblical teaching is essential for life transformation.
Prayer
Prayer is essential to keeping our connection to God.
Community Groups
We use community groups as a means of doing life together, while supporting, encouraging and challenging each other to live more like Jesus.
Gifts
We believe that through God given spiritual gifts each of us has something unique and wonderful to offer to the church body. No matter age or gender, these gifts are needed to accomplish God’s mission.
Statement of Faith
Bible
We believe that the whole Bible is the inspired word of God written by men and therefore without error. It is the foundation for our lives and is relevant to all that we do as Christians.
God
We believe that there is one true God, who exists in three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe that God is love and sent his son Jesus, the second person of the trinity, to die for our sins. He offers us new life and gives us, as believers, the holy spirit in our hearts to guide us toward him.
Jesus
We believe that Jesus was sent by God in flesh to model for us the best ways to love God and one another. We believe that Jesus came to earth to be our Savior from our sinful ways.
Humanity
We believe that all people are created in the image of God and everyone matters to Him. However, as the result of sin and rebellion we are helpless to restore our relationship with God on our own.
Salvation
Through the death and resurrection of Jesus on the cross our sins have been forgiven and our relationship with God has been restored.
Christian Life
We believe that being saved is not the end of our Christian walk. Through daily submitting of our hearts, breaths, and lives to Jesus we are able to experience freedom and new life each day from our old lives of sin.
Church
The church is not a building, but rather a gathered body of believers of Jesus living out their Christian lives together. We gather in small groups, weekly worship, service and outreach events in order to better love God, each other, and our neighbors.
